Allie

Allie is the strangest of our three cats.  She came to us a bundle of phobias, most of which she has not yet gotten over.  She's afraid of noises, movements, change...anything that will disturb her fragile serenity.

On the rare occasions when Kenny can catch her long enough to pet her, he says that "she really wants- to be sociable."  I didn't think that true at first.  Poor Allie spent most of her time under something.  Bed, couch or table, if she could fit below it, Allie would use it.  Now, however, I'm not so sure.  Allie has taken to nuzzling me awake in the middle of the night so that I will rub her head.  She'll also figure out when it's time for me to get up and stare at me until I open my eyes.  Try to hold her, however, and Allie's under the chest of drawers.

The one sound that will bring her running is ice.  She loves to bat ice cubes around the kitchen floor.  It was accidental at first but sometimes I feel so sorry for her and the way the other two hog the food, toys, catnip that I'll drop one cube out of the tray for her to play with.  Hey, a girl's got have a little- fun, even if that girl is a painfully shy housecat.

Stay tuned.  We're going to try and get Allie's mew for you to hear, but we haven't yet caught her to record it.

To send a message to Allie, e-mail: allie@thesimsplace.info (She probably won't say much to strangers, but she'll reply!)
