Linux

Linux is an alternative operating system for personal computers. It’s no where near as popular as Windows but is gaining popularity. Several computer manufacturers offer Linux pre-installed. One of the versions (“distributions” in Linux terms) that I used is call Ubuntu. It will run on most computers and comes in a version that will run from the CD so that you don’t even have to disturb your Windows set up just to try it out.
